Creamy mushroom and spinach bake

This was a quick and easy dish that I prepared for supper the other night. We enjoyed it, so I thought I would share.

Creamy mushroom and spinach bake

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Grease a casserole dish with butter

1 package of frozen chopped spinach
Spread the spinach in the bottom of the casserole dish

1 1/2 cups mushroom gravy
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small can of mushroom pieces drained
Mix these all together and spread over the top of the spinach

Slices of Mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup bread crumbs
About 1/2 teaspoon of coarse ground black pepper

Lay slices of mozzarella cheese across the top and sprinkle with bread crumbs and black pepper
Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes until it is hot and bubbly and the top begins to brown.

  1. Wow this recipe looks great! Do you think it would turn out without the gravy only because I eat a gluten free diet these days! By the way thank you so much for linking up to the "From The Farm" Blog Hop this week!

  2. I used gravy because that is what I had in the fridge. You could use a gluten free version of something like a cream soup. I think it sounds great with the spinach, mushrooms, maybe some sautéed onions and the sour cream. You might need to add some salt as the gravy added a salty factor. Experiment and see what happens.

  3. This sounds delicious. Thanks for sharing on Foodie Friends Friday!
